My son has been to another facility and he quit not feeling very confident about what he learned and since he started with wildcat martial arts he has had a smile so big and begs to get here early so he can watch the leadership class so he can learn more and I honestly cant say how proud I am of the staff and how well they help the kids they truly amazing

Wildcat Martial Arts is an amazing place with a great atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and truly knowledgeable—they make you feel comfortable no matter your experience level. Since taking over the dojo, Mr. Adam and Mrs. Sarah have been fantastic. Their passion, leadership, and dedication really show in the way the school is run and how students are supported. You can tell they genuinely care about their students and the community they’re building. My child has been going to this location since the very beginning, even with its ups and downs in management and ownership, at this current moment, this Martial Arts School offers the most stability the location has seen. Sarah and Adam are wonderful owners and have been a breath of fresh air. Are things always 100% perfect? Well no…this is a family owned business not The Navy Seals. That’s all the reason to love it even more though. They don’t just pick your kids up from school or teach them Karate moves. They know your children and my child feels safe there. He feels confident there. He feels supported there. Ms. Carmen has a forever place in my families heart for the impact she has made on my child and I’m sure many others by being attentive and encouraging, but also fostering great relationships with parents. Mr. Shawn is an example the children look up to and you can see for yourself how he has impacted the class when he comes into the Dojo, teaches the class or helps out with Parents Night Out (which is amazing and you should definitely look into it!) Sharing so others don’t find themselves in the same position several parents were put in yesterday. This company bought out Elite Martial Arts sometime in November with the only notice being a Facebook post. No email, text, or call was sent to parents who used Elites after school program. After finally discovering this change in early December, again via Facebook, I kept my child in the after school program despite the red flags. Fast forward to January the 5th, the day before classes resume after winter break, and I receive a call from my child’s school asking how my child will be getting home each day because Wildcat (Elite) had closed their business. The lack of communication for something so critical for others was pathetic. This business was called out on Facebook for the lack of communication/ proper notification and turned off the comments on the post… LOL. Then to beat it all they send a text TODAY after 5 stating they can still bring children from Lexington to Nicholasville???? In what world does that even make sense? Also what parent would trust your word anymore after the crap storm we endured yesterday? And the icing on the cake? They let parents know if you fill out the online form advising you no longer wish to participate in the after school program they would consider it an immediate cancellation and not go by the cancellation policy??? Wildcats Karate is hands-down the best martial arts school in Nicholasville, KY.

As a father, there’s nothing more fulfilling than watching your child grow in confidence, character, and discipline—and that’s exactly what Wildcats Karate has done for my son. From the start, the instructors have been patient, encouraging, and deeply invested in his personal growth—not just in karate technique, but in life skills like emotional intelligence, respect, and perseverance.

My son was recently invited to join the Wildcats Karate Competition Team, and to say he’s excited would be an understatement. The pride on his face said it all. I also want to personally thank the team for the recent one-on-one session with him. It meant a lot to him—and to me.

This isn’t just a karate school—it’s a place where kids learn the true art of martial arts, where they’re challenged and supported every step of the way. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the instructors are top-notch, combining technical skill with a genuine passion for teaching.
